Movement and expression are the hallmarks of my abstract art. This series is inspired by my love of music and dance. As a social dancer since my teenage years, it’s natural to transfer that energy to the canvas. Listening to music while I work, the rhythms and sounds mix with the paint. I enjoy various types of music and have done many styles of dancing through the years. I leaned heavily into mark making in this series to exaggerate the pure delight of movement. The compositions ignite joy with a painterly portrayal of the passion of music and dance.
